Temple on Maple Tree Mountain hoody was inspired by ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock prints and paintings. As many Japanese traditional woodblock prints depict nature and the seasons, this screen printed design is of temple on a mountain in autumn. Following the spring themed “Temple on Cherry Blossom Hill” here is a Japanese temple on a mountain amongst the abundant Maple trees in autumn. In Japan, fall transforms the landscape into a visual palettes of red, yellow, and browns. For economical purposes I had to limit the screen print to five colours but hopefully still captured a very autumnal feel.
