An uchi clothing x Vice Beats collaboration in homage to the legendary Hip Hop producer J Dilla (aka Jay Dee). This design was created for the An Afternoon Of Dilla events in Bristol and London for 2025. Much like Jay Dee’s music, the design is layered and complex. The background text features Dilla’s tracks names, including production and remixes. The smaller, darker layers of text feature his collaborators and early career artists.
The art prints, sweatshirts and T-shirts, as with the events are run by Bristol based producer Vice Beats, and are an official collaboration with Ma Dukes (Maureen Yancey) Jay Dee’s mum, who developed the James Dewitt Yancey Foundation. Each T-shirt sold donates profit to the foundation to further support their work.
