This track was going to be called Euclidean Spaces after the Greek mathematician Euclid, but I figured that was a bit too much geek…
Euclid, is best known for his work, the Elements. For over 2000 years, it remains the most compelling and useful way of modeling the world as it is experienced. It is sometimes said that, other than the Bible, the Elements is the most translated, published, and studied of all the books produced in the Western world.
In geometry, Euclidean space encompasses the two-dimensional Euclidean plane, the three-dimensional space of Euclidean geometry, and certain other spaces. It is named after the Ancient Greek mathematician Euclid of Alexandria.
