50 years on this unique horology art print pays tribute to that historic day. This Omega watch art features the dial from the 1969 Speedmaster model 145.012 as worn by the Apollo 11 astronauts. Showing the exact time of the Apollo 1 1 lunar landing, the hour and minute hands on the Moonwatch are set at 20:17 with the sub dial (and chronograph hand) set at 39 seconds. Behind the iconic luminous Speedmaster markers is the moon, rotated such that the Sea of Tranquility Apollo XI landing site is in the position where the OMEGA logo would be. The star map background shows the accurate positions of celestial objects including the milky way along with the constellation boundaries and equatorial grid as viewed from the moon on 20th July 1969 at exactly 20:17 :39 (UTC) .
